I think this line probably came from your stock air intake box, that shouldn't cause you to lose any hp, however you might want to check up on the left side top corner of the cam cover, there's a lot of vacuum hoses there I know I've got a leak on mine in there some where, also have your timing chec...

Intake compatibility....

Does anybody know if the air intakes on the v6 models are the same as on the 4 cyl.? I'm wanting to know because I found a cold air intake for the v6 for like 80 bucks but I want to know for sure if it'll fit or not. right now all I have is a cone filter strapped to the air sensor so I want to finis...

Fallen shift lever!!!

my shift lever keeps falling and I'm starting to get tired of restling it up into the shifter bushing at stop lights, what do I need to get or do to get this shift lever to keep from falling down and resting on the exhaust? is it a spring, pin, or something else? and is it something fairly easy to d...

Foggy altezas

My black altezzas fogged up the other day and they're not getting any better, I'm assuming the car wash caused it. Anyway, how do I get rid of this, will tiny vent holes help or do I have to take them apart and reseal them completely?

Addendum to last exhaust dilema.....

Ok I had previously mentioned buying a hi flow cat or a straight pipe, did so, got it, looked under the car today to see exactly where it would fit....not happy. I didn't even realize I had such a huge resonator in there and didn't quite see the cat but I couldn't see very well. So, now I'm looking ...

you might also try cold air and doing a bigger exhaust pipe from the cat back, narrow pipe is kind of the culprit of that nasty bumble bee buzz. The bigger the pipe the deeper the growl. I wouldn't go over 2.5 inch though

Hey, I feel ya, I had some glass packs on a saturn that burnt out and gave it that buzzing sound, I'm looking for the same affect, I ended up getting a fireball muffler off ebay, it has one of those silencers, which is a joke because if you take it off the silencer isn't much smaller than the actual...

Either way, this was not posted as an argument on emissions, but I'm gonna go in favor of the race gods for now as I am setting this thing up for auto cross. I'll have to get the proper set up when it is more within my financial reach. might set up a flowmaster set with a high flow cat and a one in ...

since you're doing a swap, I would say anything questionable or stock from the original should go. the alternator can be fun though take it to a motor rebuilder and have it rebuilt and rewound, meanwhile take the housing and have it powdercoated. if you're going for pure performance I would only kee...

Across the board, meaning in every instance where I've run into a SOHC it's hard to find parts, a lot of SOHC owners just modify as much as they can and that's all they can do, it would be worth it to swap to a DOHC if you really want to do internals and such, this is especially true for Saturn owne...

yeah what these guys said, I'm thinking your compressor's locking up, while I would say cut it out and re-route your belt and do without, I know these cars don't exactly vent very well in hot weather even with the windows all the way down, I'd visit your local junk yard or see if the AC can be reman...

Ok so here's where I'm at. the car broked down 2 hours from home and is getting a used tranny. meanwhile the "high flow" cat was ordered, the guy swore it was shipped when it wasn't and is now offering the straight pipe in place of it so I'm taking the straight pipe and running with it jus...

Well I did purchase the cat I mentioned above after the ebay seller let me know it is an actual cat and that there would be no cutting necessary for installation. I will return to let you all know how it works out.....
