[FS] 1995 MX-3 RS (Price Drop, BUMP to TOP)

Hey there guys! Used to be a pretty active member back in the day, but have since lost my love for the MX. Actually lost my passion for modifying cars in general  Long story. So my MX is for sale. I live in Reno, NV. I do have pics, but I'm too lazy to post them unless I actually generate some ...

Oxymoron: Cheap and Quiet universal exhaust?

I'm looking to get rid of my "fart can." Just kinda tired of people hearing me coming from over a mile away, or even up to 2 miles in wide open spaces.... It's a twin canister OBX free flowing "muffler." You can see right through it, all the way from the 1 to 2 split out through ...

Shops around here charge $50US a door, parts and labor. Usually, if you are buying an alarm, you can talk a shop into throwing in doors if you tell them you'd step up on the alarm. When I picked up my Clifford pager alarm, I told the guy I had $400 total for the job. When he told me the cheapest pag...

If you MUST use your little switch, it doesn't really matter where you wire it in. Either between the battery and the guage, or between the guage and the ground: in either place, it will still interupt your circut and stop the flow of electricity...

Ambitious project for my skill level...

I've been tinkering with the idea of "fixing up" my carbon fiber tail lamps. I basically want to pop off the plexiglass, pop out/dremel out the red and clear lenses, and fit in some round sealed LED taillights, similar to the 4" ones used on semi trucks but smaller. I've got two quest...

Yeah... I accidentally broke off the fuel needle while installing the aftermarket indiglo guage covers  Now I use the trip odometer for my guage: gets around 240-255mi in town on a full tank before that light comes on. I comfortable push her to 265mi cause that's about as far as she gets befor...

Got a ka-klunk coming from the LF wheel area...

Yeah, like the subject says, something in my front suspension has apparently worked itself loose, or just worn out, and now I get a decent sounding clunk over bumps and a small clunk when starting out from a stop. It basically clunks over every size bump also, from speed bumps to tiny tar patch jobs...

Thanks for the idea Tunes67. I tried just tapping the starter, as quickly as I could, and then waiting the ten seconds or so before cranking it over fully. No change. For the tune up, I had never heard of a car acting this way when it needed one. Not to argue, but the lean out is at a consistant rpm...

Hey guys... Got a sick DOHC

It's been a while since I've posted here. Lots of issues that lead to my leaving, but I won't bore you with the details. I've been working on restoring my car to stock: getting rid of the lowering kit, finishing the back interior of my car after I removed everything for weight reduction (unfortunatl...

If you remove the old battery drain piping that leads down there, you get an opening that's around 3X3 in or so. I actually was worried about my car sucking up water so I stuffed it up with a rag. Can't wait til spring lol.

i have a CAI for my 1.6L DOHC i will show pics if you need. I just added a K&N filter to the intake tubing :confused2: A Cold Air Intake involves removing the filter from the engine bay so it can actually get some cold air... if you just added a filter where I imagine you did it's just sucking ...

Alright... since my manual is already that unclear, I need help.

I can pull the plug to drain it, obviously lol. Then is there going to be a filler plug up top or do I fill it where the speedo gear is at?

I'd bet a dollar no one is going to answer most or any of your questions. Check the "Search" button up at the website menu bar. Then post any other questions you can't find answers for.

Question on 95 RS Manual Transmission.

My friend told me switching the oil in the transmission to synthetic might help replace some performance lost over the years, so back to the ol' Chilton's Magazine. It gives two different procedures: One for a 1990-93 vehicles except MX-3 with G5M-R Transaxle. The other for an MX-3 with G5M-R Transa...
