Re: Fenders off to clear drag slicks?...
Interesting. I'm running 245/50/R16 with Weapon-R Coil overs slammed w/ helper springs in and don't have that problem...I did have to cut down the spring pearches to clear the tires though, was laughing the whole time we were choping them! I'd say your backspacing on the wheels are incorrect for you...

Re: Internal upgrades? (BP guys!)
LOL @ Josh....I've been there n broke that as well, exploded the clutch pack even! Stock B-series rods are good to 300-350 HP with decent longevity...even reving to 8000 rpm! So are the stock cast pistons if properly tuned! Boost PSI means little, when properly intercooled (this is a BIG hint...

Re: Turbo on Stock B6
There are a lot of variables that come into that equation. The cast pistons in both the B6 DOHC engines and BP DOHC engines can hold upwards of 400+HP IF it is properly tuned and detination is kept away. I've done 300+HP on NA BP pistons and 400+HP on B6T pistons no problem. The weak link in these m...

Re: Lol, g series transmissions don't like 300whp :)
The ATX would be fun with a high stall converter...kiss lag good bye. The hardest part is getting the aftermarket bands, friction, metals, & pumps to bring the hydralics up high enough in pressure...then hopefully the valve body will hold up. Red Eagle frictions are where it is at! Custom...

Re: Lol, g series transmissions don't like 300whp :)
I've read on a thread I found that the Mazda 3 gearbox is a new beefy G-Series box. Kaaz also has a LSD out that is supposed to fit G-Series box. Can anyone one here (Yoda...Kiwi) verify this? If it is true then...how close is the Mazdaspeed 3 gearbox to the G-Series? My wife has an 07 Mazda 3 and B...

Re: upgrading turbo
Well...I've been successfully runnint a GT-3076R with a .82 A/R turbine housing on my car's lil 1.6L B6T. With the correct tuning it will actually be more driveable then with a little turbo. It is tame, yet still torquie, under 4500rpm and is NUTs from 5000-8000rpm. You can keep your existing exhaus...

Re: MX3.com quarter mile time list
Hopefully I'll get to run mine sometime this summer. My son is now walking and I'm taking this summer off from school to get some stuff knocked out...cjthor's custom B6T Intake Manifold is at the top of the list. Next is getting a 87 Caprice out of my car trailer and my 87 RX-7 out of the garage so ...

Re: Compression Test BPT
Means you could have a defective gauge. The gauge is supposed to hold pressure until you bleed it off. Testing while hot should yeild different (better) results because the pistons have swelled up from heat creating a better ring seal. If it looks like you have oil on the spark plugs this could mean...

Re: Compression Test BPT
You should hold the throttle wide open during cranking...also recommend unplugging disty or cam sensor to stop fuel injectors from pumping fuel into the cylinders during testing. This will help get a more accurate reading as fuel will cause the rings not to seal as well by disolving the oil film on ...

Re: B6-T manifold + turbo inside B6 DOHC ?
Don't take this the wrong way but a rrfpr alone is a half @$$ way of doing something and it doesn't trick the ECU into doing anything! Your talking about an adjustable rising rate fuel pressure regulator...all it does is raise the fuel pressre by the XX:1 ratio corrisponding to boost pressure. Ex. u...

Re: B6-T manifold + turbo inside B6 DOHC ?
Yes it will...but you will need to add an oil feed, oil drain, water feed, water return, intercooler, blow off valve, larger injectors, larger fuel pump, some fuel controller or stand alone, clutch, larger exhaust etc... Another option instead of using the B6T manifold & turbo you could have a c...

Re: B6T SWAP INTO 92 MX-3 INFO PLEASE HELP
Probably because one of my friends and I broke 5 of them before finally switching out drivelines in 2 different cars. Atleast 2 broke with the 130HP B6T engine out of a Capri XR2 in his car...mine had the J-Spec B6T. Since then another fried of mine and I have broken 1 Pro-LX open diff and I explode...

Re: B6T SWAP INTO 92 MX-3 INFO PLEASE HELP
Yes there should be a ton of info on here about that. Simplified: -Use B6T engine long block (if I remember correctly the 323 tranny positions the axles further back than the MX-3). -Your stock tranny is gonna take a dump from the new power (spyder gears usually). Upgrade tranny n drive line to 90-9...

Re: KLDE (9:2:1) Opinions on turbo's?
Sounds like fun. What A/R turbine housing is on the HX30? If it is off the Cummins 5.9L diesel it will be a bit laggy but fun on the top end of the rpm band. Your primary concern here needs to be AFRs and EGTs with the increased compression...I am a fan of higher compression with boost and it works ...

Re: SPLASHING OIL PROBLEM!!! help
Yes your experiancing excessive crankcase pressure and as stated above it is because the PCV system probably wasn't modified to deal with boost. The easiest way to fix this is to use Crankcase breather filters directly on the valve cover inplace of the PCV vac hose. Litterally remove the PCV valve(s...
