I think the oil is comming out of the dipstick... could that be it...is there a lil O-ring on the dipstick to make it stay in place? if there is, mine doesn't have one and maybe thats my problem... PLEASE HELP!!!

Re: SPLASHING OIL PROBLEM!!! help
Sounds like your crankcases are under to much pressure.
You still running the stock PCV system? You proly want to run breather filters on the PCV connections. I am sure someone else can help you with this as i dont have much experience with it, but that is what your problem is. The boost is pressurizing the crank case and pushing the oil out whereever it can go cause there is to much pressure under the system (you are boosting instead of hitting Vacuum or 0psi pressure as a NA car has, so the crankcase gets to much pressure)

Re: SPLASHING OIL PROBLEM!!! help
Is it normal that boosted engines get their crank cases over pressurized? Usually this problem happens from a pluged PCV (so clean or replace it) or too much oil being added to the engine. Being under vaccum the engine intake should be able to neutralize any excess pressure that's created.

Re: SPLASHING OIL PROBLEM!!! help
get a rubber plug for the intake manifold and remove the pcv temporarily and go for a spin.
See if anything changes.

Re: SPLASHING OIL PROBLEM!!! help
Yes your experiancing excessive crankcase pressure and as stated above it is because the PCV system probably wasn't modified to deal with boost. The easiest way to fix this is to use Crankcase breather filters directly on the valve cover inplace of the PCV vac hose. Litterally remove the PCV valve(s) & hoses...put breather filters on valve cover port(s) then use heavy duty vac caps w/ worm gear hose clamps to close up the PCV port(s) on the intake manifold. If you are still blowing oil after this is done properly then you are either getting excessive blow buy due to the rings being to loose, the head(s) could be lifting due to weak head studs, a blown head gasket(s), are a combination of the above. You can use a leak down tester to help weed through these possibilites.

Re: SPLASHING OIL PROBLEM!!! help
Go to MAZDA and get a new PCV for $20 DO NOT SPEND $5 on the Aftermarket ones since they will allow blow by on the crankcase and the OEM ones won't (my buddy has been running his OEM one and it works great)!!!
And if you are not reading vaccum at idle..... you have a problem... it should always be around 17 -20 on the gauge. I think you need to send it to a place b4 you blow your engine!

Where did you tap the boost gauge into? The charge pipe or the intake manifold?johnmx3ze wrote:and on my boost gauge it never goes down to vaccum... is it normal...
