Take a look at 2nd gen BP's if you are going to go that way, OBD2 to OBD2. Also they look identical to a B6 unless you know what your looking for to avoid insurance problems. ICBC will not cover you if you mod the car and get into any problems, be it your fault or not. Mods can unfortunately be used...

This is from when the oil pump failed back almost two years ago, I
checked the main bearings which are fine but didn't catch the rod
bearings. Im going to shim my oil pump up a bit and live with higher
oil pressure. Heard 3 1/4" SS washers do the trick.

Your spline count will work but good luck bolting a half shaft made for
a V6 block to a BP block - totally different.
