I can service G/F trannies very easily, page 7 on my worklog has the
mods you have to do for the mazdaspeed LSD and page 9 the re assembly.

I would suggest against the mazdaspeed LSD because of the difficulty of
locating a Kia Sephia 28 spline halfshaft. Mfactory makes 28 and 26 spline
helical LSD's that can use whichever axles you have already.

There used to be a forum called iMazda.com and a guy on there did the full write up but that forum is dead now. These are the pictures from that write up. It was awesome...so unfortunate that it was lost.

Someone needs to go through and save those pictures. The original poster of that thread told me a few years ago that he did not want it reposted so I didn't but since iMazda went down I figure it's more important to save that thread.

I will do it if I get a chance.

"Segment #4: Notes and Tips

Axles
4cyl Applications [BG and EC chassis]
MX3 GS, MX6, 626, ProbeGT all use the same differential side spline counts on the axles (28)
If using this in a BG or EC chassis, you cannot use the MX6/626 or ProbeGT axles, they are too long, the MX3 GS axles should be used. The hub spline count is the same for the EC and BG chassis cars (26) and Alternatively, you can source a set of KIA Sephia axles from a BP equipped car, as well as the KIA Intermediate Shaft. These are also 28/26 spline counts.

V6 Applications [BG and EC chassis]
Again, must use the MX3 GS or KIA Sephia axles, but can use any Intermediate shaft from the above listed K-series V6 cars. They all share the same 28/26 spline counts."

He talks about using the MX3 GS axles being 28 spline(on transmission side)?? I am just tryin to clear this up because some places I have read you can use the Mx3 GS half shaft and others it's only the KIA axles!! Cause if this is true it's alot easier to find a V6 jack shaft and axles! I took a look at Rockauto of the product details of a 92 mx3 1.8l v6 and the drivers side axle says it can fit a 2000-1995 Kia sephia(Cardon part#668098)! So in my mind the V6 jack shaft should be the same spline count correct??? If not please correct me I am just going off what I have read, I have not physically counted the splines on the V6 jack shaft!!

Your spline count will work but good luck bolting a half shaft made for
a V6 block to a BP block - totally different.

Hahaha I am not going to do that!! I have seen that thread before! I'm sorry I have a 200-250 hp motor with brand new LSD ready to rip that out of the block an probably cause a wee bit of distruction! The things we do to "make things work" cause it's to hard to find the right parts!! Thanks mike that clears up alot!! I may go to pick an pull to rip that Kia sephia jack shaft cause if I don't use it people will pay top dollar for it!

Well that wasn't hard to get out!! Just glad the 3 bolts going into the block didn't strip or brake! Now I posses a 2000 Kia sephia jack shaft 28 splines(counted to double check)
