Re: Curved neck manifold, I need help with hooking up the EGR
If you want to keep working EGR. I just swapped every thing over from the K8. You will need to find different places to mount the brackets to the manifold. But it can all be swapped over.

Re: MTX Conversion: Axles and mounts
Basically when your doing a trans swap. You need the mount specifically for the transmission your putting in. This is the mount on the Left side of the car bolting directly to the top of the trans. I think the three other mounts can stay the same.

Re: Help diagnosing
I guess. I used to be here alot at the early part of the decade, when I first got my MX-3. Then hadn't been here for a bunch of years till I could afford to buy and build an MX-3 the way I wanted to. It just seems like people are less willing to help each other now days. Makes me kinda sad.

Re: K8 Top Speed
I got up to 129mph on a fairly flat section of freeway (I94 west near Madison) in Wisconsin I had another person in the car with me I was just past 6000RPM and the car sat there for a while not going further I started coming up on traffic so I slowed back down. Maybe without the extra weight of a pa...

I prefer 92/93 and I added in a cupholder. The round bubble vents just seem cheezy lookin to me.

Re: auto mx-3 to 5-speed mx-6
The ECU shouldn't really matter. Bellow the dash just forward of the shifter there should be an ECU that was just for the Auto trans. That can be disconnected but then you have to rewire the brake lights, it does stop the hold light from blinking though if you dont feel like pulling the bulb from th...

Re: Transmission ECU after 5 speed conversion.
Well I dont know about the other models but the 93 GS with auto trans had a seperate ECU for the trans. Which I've already disconnected, the car seems to run fine, I was curious about about the electrical connectors going to the seatbelts are those just for the annoying seatbelt warning bell and lig...

Transmission ECU after 5 speed conversion.
So after the conversion, I'm wonder if most people just pull the Transmission ECU or leave it in. I unplugged it so I no longer get the blinking HOLD light. I'm thinking the only necessary thing effected is the brake lights which I should be able to rewire. Am I missing anything? Is it necessary for...

Re: auto mx-3 to 5-speed mx-6
Umm not sure what was meant by brackets, but if refering to the mounts, the ones from the automatic are very different from the ones you need for the manual. So again you want all the plugs and wires, and the mounts from a manual mx-3.

Re: auto mx-3 to 5-speed mx-6
Saw a MX-6 at the junk yard this weekend while looking for some parts and yeah, the tranny looks the same but you would need the mounts and wiring from a manual MX-3. Dont know about any clearance issues with the intake manifold though.

Re: Hood extension / Angry Eye Mod
I'm planning to do this myself. I dont see any good alternative to welding the sheet metal into place. And even if your a real good welder your still going to need a skim coat of body filler to fill the scratches after grinding down your welds.
