Re: timing

Unfortunatly, I dont think anyone will be able to tell you without dismantling their engine as well.
It would have been a good idea to mark the position of the gears, belt and flywheel so you could put them back easily.
I'm not sure if there are timing marks on the gears or not, but if there wer...

Re: Differences?

As far as I can figure, the MX-3 is the left hand drive variant, and the Eunos/AZ3 are the right hand drive variants. Seems logical, as we never really hear of both MX-3s and Presso/AZ-3s driving around in the same countries.
As a side note, only some of the Eunos Presso's have ABS, air conditioni...

Re: no sound

If the drink went into your headunit, it is possible the drink has mucked up the CD laser. If the system cant tell you how many tracks the disk has and if it can still tune into radio signals, this may be your problem.
If all that checks out, perhaps your drink has caused problems further allong t...

Re: Installing a computer in your car

I'm sure that LCD would have cost quite a bit. Personally, I'm hoping for a much smaller display (and thus cheaper :)) that may be able to hide inside the dash.
You know, I have exactly the same metal case, and I was going to install a computer in it. Dammit, you beat me to it. :)

Re: Replace OEM Deck with Aftermarket will it fit?

As the OEM headuint in my MX-3 is double DIN, if you install a single DIN sized headunit you may require a spaer of sorts to fill the gap. Theres are quite easy to get, if one is needed dont hesitate to get your headunit salseman to throw one in with the deal.

Re: please help - loud clicking sound

Although I'm yet to face CV problems in my MX, my previous front wheel drive car suffered significant CV damage. You'll find the CV will be quite worn in there. CV joints are quite cheap, you may be able to get a pair for perhaps $60 US (thats a rough estimate for how much they are in US dollars whe...

Re: Installing a computer in your car

If I were to run large and expensive hard disk drives in a car I would go for laptop drives due to their shock resistant design. If you wish to use the larger sized drives, you may wish to cradle them in some sort of shock resistant enclosure.

<font size="1" face="Verda...

Re: Shrill whining sound - ring any bells?

I was about to suggest a bearing problem, but if it only exists in a small range it could be an intake problem. I know my engine whistles as it draws air, especially when cold, but I do not believe the whistle in my cars case is a problem.
[ November 29, 2002: Message edited by: Psyrg ]

You know, most hot air baloons are rated at several thousand horse power. You get a great deal of energy release when you burn that much fuel. :)

Re: Will this idea work?

Did you have an alarm when your speakers were stolen? Its worth spending $200 on a high quality alarm if you are going to spend $800 on an audio set up.
Two of my friends have had awesome audo setups, and unfortunatly only got arund to installing an alarm after it was stolen. :(

It almost appears as if you can see the tiny little piece of glass that MX-3's have on their rear underneath where the rear window ends. Without a better pricture howerver, I think it's a little hard to tell.
Cheers
Psyrg

Re: Possibly new Light Mod

You may want to note that LEDs are current controlled devices rather than voltage controlled devices (which would be easier, as we have a constant 12 volt source). It would be wise to install a current limiting device to the +12V line that controls the LEDs to prevent you from getting into trouble w...
