Re: hows 100 shot of nos sound on a k8
I think he'll kill the clutch first if it isn't an aftermarket. If it is a stronger clutch then the tranny will definitely be destroyed.

Just get going on a road in the bottom of fourth gear, hit the nitrous, then downshift to second.

Re: Coolest Valve Cover
Yes, everything from a KL can be transferred to a K8 but the internals. That doesn't necessarily mean everything you swap over will be good for the K8.

But the rims will still line up. I remember reading recently that someone had a very different offset on their new rims but it still didn't cause any problems.

I like how he reveresed the seat belt thingies in the back and put LCD screens in them so that you can watch something on TV. Though he should've gone with carbon fiber Eclipse tails, or at least the imitation ones. That contrast to the shiny plastic is always disgusting. The front headlights are a ...

Re: '98 Escort Zx2 > Any Good?
My friend has one, it is a pretty good car. He has an ATX and said something about the MTX gears not being good, but I believe he was referring to racing. He did mention that they have a long throw between gears so your sister should drive one and decide what she thinks. My friend is kinda short too...

Re: volvo and ford turbo's
"· T25 (Stock 2G Talon/Eclipse turbos) should be left out of all consideration for our cars. As a previous 97 Talon Tsi owner, I would not recommend that turbo to anyone even on a 2.0L 4 cylinder. This turbo would chop the air so badly above 5krpm that you would have huge power loss. A T28 is n...

Re: mx-5 front on a mx-3
Well the MX-5 rims share the same bolt pattern as the MX-3 if you're interested in that as well. I've seen several of the newer MX-5's around and I too like their open mouth look and foglights. I don't think one could be molded directly to an MX-3 though because the MX-3 front, I think, would be sli...

Re: 1.8 in the 14's
The K8 is safe at RPMs above 12k, possibly even much higher depending upon who you ask. The issue is that the motor makes no power above 6500rpm, so why would you need to go that high?
If someone can shave 100lbs from a factory spec MX-3 with a good clutch and tires I would think mid-high 15's wou...

Is that the one you are going to do all your work on?
It sucks that the car got damaged, but it doesn't look too bad. I mean, all the pieces are still there and can be fixed.

Okay, the criticism of someone else's taste in automobiles was not necessary. It was downright ignorant for some people to insult someone else's tastes to their face . I'm sure no one would care or pay any attention if your rude comments were kept to yourself. Instead, you brought negativity and opi...
