mx-5 front on a mx-3

Post by nksmx-3 »

i want to know if any one has done this yet, cause my old man just bought a new mx-5 and it looks like it would match up nicely.it looks like it would give our car a similar look altogether, but it would be lower to the ground also. if any one has any pics of this please post, cause i want to see this. thx all :)

Well the MX-5 rims share the same bolt pattern as the MX-3 if you're interested in that as well. I've seen several of the newer MX-5's around and I too like their open mouth look and foglights. I don't think one could be molded directly to an MX-3 though because the MX-3 front, I think, would be slightly too large.

i dont know about too large to me it looks like an exact fit, even the way the front is cut out for the headlights look right. too bad my old man wont let me experiment with his new car. if it did work we could take the rims also and call the car the mx-4 :p

The rims don't share the same offset.

But the rims will still line up. I remember reading recently that someone had a very different offset on their new rims but it still didn't cause any problems.

Im pretty sure that this is actually being worked on here in Ontario. A front end bodykit should be available soon if im not mistaken. I remember speaking with one of the members about this. I personally dont think it will suit the mx-3, but the headlights are nice
