Hey, i'm in the middle of this major project myself, learning as I go along. Is there a good forum for beginners that anybody knows of? I'm falling deeper into the hole and would like to know that this project *could* be successfull! :p
Dave

Re: Jamex ~vs~ Eibach Coilovers
If I remember correctly...... ah yes, the Jamex set that I put on my car really sucked. They were soft and squishy. I would never buy em' again, I'm just glad that they were only 100 bucks when I bought em' new. I would look into something a little higher on the ladder.
Dave

Re: Jamex springs
I have a set and had to take remove em' cause I think they are crap. I would give somebody my set if I didn't give a turd but I would feel bad later when they started complaining.

Re: Need a good shipping company..
Where is the kit shipping from? Ups is like the cheapest, (blah) but they suck hardcore. Fedex is more expensive but very good. Heavy I'd go r+l. And there a lot of "middlemen" out there.
Dave

Re: How to take out interior parts.......
It's fairly easy, take a small flathead screwdriver and pry the vents starting at the top. This should work for all three, they just sorta pop out. The doors, depend on if you have auto or man windows. I have auto so here goes... there are 3 screws I think (1) by the door lock (2) inside where you p...

Re: NEC VFD
Yeah, I thought about going with a colored "condem" to slightly change the tint. As far a work is concerned it's only desoldering 32 pins. VFD's can come in many colors, but to my dismay I can't find any info on this model. I would imagine I'm going to just replace the whole asembly with s...

NEC VFD
Would anybody have any info on NEC VFD's? This is used for the clock in the guage cluster. I've got an extra and removed the VFD and I can't find any info on the net. W hat I'm trying to do is change the color of the clock from green to blue. I know it's a shot in the dark but figured I'd try. [img]...

You don't have to cut the butts off the needles. I carefully folded the cover (like a taco) and slipped them on. If I run across a digicam I'll snap some pics.
