depending on the condition of the sticky stuff under your existing liner, you may have to glue, i would suggest using 3M spray adhesive or something similar. Use a blow dryer to heat it while applying. Shouldnt take to long or be so hard
Good Luck

I'm in the middle of this project my self. Removed the headliner, and peeled off the old material. Be sure to get a good adheasive, I'm using 3m super 77 (I think...) the "super" kind. I'ts used for heavy trim and whatnot. Looks pretty good so far and I don't think it's going anywhere any time soon. If I was thinking I would have looked into a vinyl type, that would've looked sweet.
D A V E

Would you just put it over the old one, or do you take out the old one and replace it? I ask because to old headliner is pretty thick, and I know the stuff used to replace it isn't as thick.

theres actually 2 layers of the headliner, there's the hard inside layer and the fabric that you actually see. If you're careful you can pull the outer layer off . Take your time to cause you dont wanna damage the inner

if the old one is in good shape (no rips and not loose)and the new material is thin just glue it over the top one. Makes for a much nicer finish.

I had to take off the cloth and the foam layer under it. Took 4eva to brush the old foam off. If you could get away with leaving it on more power to ya!
D A V E
