Re: Jamex springs

jamex springs were discontinued a long time ago and were probably the only springs for the mx-3 that gave the lowest drop. plus i dont think jamex is a company here in the states. i think they're located in europe?

They were a 1.75" drop. I believe retail was $200ish. I don't know what the ride is as they are not on the car yet. Yes they should fit fine although doing struts would probably be a good idea. They were european.

Suspension Techniques are a good alernative. They don't go as low, but they come very close once they settle.

i have the jamex springs on my gs right now. there supposed to lower the car 2in and i believe it because my car is pretty darn low once they broke in. installation was easy and they have a decent ride.

Man, I have had mine for a few years-- right before they stopped production-- and I LOVE THEM!!
They ride awesome and gave the lowest drop for non-coilover springs.
I have had no problem and it turns a lot of heads!
[ March 16, 2003: Message edited by: atlantamx3 ]

Most european springs go straight on without ant other parts needing replacement but be warned that most european aftermaket shocks are only inserts and the cheaper price suddenly becomes a lot of hassle as they never seem to go in right a little off topic I know but you never know when it might come in handy to know.
Also European springs tend to last longer as they're made for our roads which are way worse than anything you could imagine. I even say a moped get stuck on the main street in Cork, second largest city in Ireland (lol).
