sweetness! I plan on painting my car too by myself. I have a compressor, just need to buy paint, and the paint guns and prepwork.
I have been doing a lot of research online about painting yoru car. Pretty tough to find reliable information about the right way to do it. I found one page where a guy explains how he painted his various old school roadsters (like 20's ford pickups and model t's) and they looked amazing.
I don't care if my car doesn't have a show quality finish, as long as it doesn't look spray painted, and there isn't any huge defects anywhere, i'll be happy.
What color are you all going to paint your cars?

Try this site:
http://www.autobodystore.com/
Their bulletin board seems to be a great resource for Auto painting info. Lots of newbie painters gettting tips from experienced painters. Also the main page has links to lots of Auto painting products.
