DOHC pistons?
I have been thinking about doing a rebuild of the 1.6 DOHC in my wife's 94RS. I cannot find any performance pistons or rods for this engine. Do they exist? If not, here is some info that you might like to know. I emailed Arias about custom pistons and here is their reply. ---------------------------...

Re: indiglo extras?
If that piece does not come out, perhaps you could just to an overlay and drill a small hole into the existing piece to poke the wires through.

Re: indiglo extras?
Why would it have to be difficult? Doesnt that plastic piece with the A/C writing (you know, the red and blue lines) just pop in and out...a thin piece of plastic. Why couldn't they make a thin indiglo sheet that you just pop in the place of the existing plastic piece...that would be awesome!

Re: project carbon fiber altezzas
So that means that you should not have to use any additional means of sealing them up? I have read that altezzas are notorious for getting moisture inside. It would not be a bad idea to give them extra sealer would it?

Re: project carbon fiber altezzas
Now what is the purpose of heating them up? Is it so the adhesive gets tacky again, so you can just remove the outer plastic? If that is the case, then I assume that heating them again, will warm it up and then you put them back together? Does the adhesive get hard enough to hold or do you add more ...

Re: New Intake causes car to die...
Ok, does it matter if the hose is piped in before or after the MAF? I am assuming it needs to be after, but I thought that the hose was before on the stock intake box.
[ February 22, 2003: Message edited by: RanMan ]

Failing Emissions
Ok...here is a good one for ya.
Our car is a 94 RS. It runs good and strong. It does not smoke, use oil, or water. The car only has about 90,000miles on it. I went to have it tested and it failed emissions. I have changed the oil, spark plugs, plug wires, ran injector cleaner through the fuel, had...

Re: New Intake causes car to die...
When I did mine, I took off everything past the MAF (which is pretty much just the filter and box) and just put a K&N style filter and adapter on. There was one small hose that went into the airbox, but when the car was running, I plugged it up with my hand and the car did not change idle or any...

Re: New Intake causes car to die...
I had the EXACT problem when I put an aftermarket performance filter on mine. It would run real good at WOT, but it would not idle at all......it would just die. I kept the filter on for about 15 minutes and decided to just stay with the stock one. I would LOVE to know the answer to this. FYI....I h...

Re: check this euro guy!
I agree with the everyone else about the car....looks nice....rims are ugly. As far as the suspension, it is using air bags.....if you look at the airtank in the hatch, it says "Bagged By Raw....Airbrush By Blade". For those who dont know...."bagged" means airbags, not hydros.

Re: Whats a Glass Pack?
Actually the term "glasspack" refers to a muffler that has fiberglass in it to deaden the sound. If you look at many of the aftermarket mufflers for imports, they have fiberglass in them....that is part of what makes the exhaust sound the way it does.
