project carbon fiber altezzas

Post by kuruption1983 »

supz all,
i was just looking @ import tuner magazine, and i saw all those sick carz, skylines, silvia S15s and stuff, and i looked @ my own mx3,,, I decided to do something new,,,
Since our stock tails look kinda ugly and our altezzas have an absolute *** look to them, i decided to sacrifice the single altezza tail i have and try to play around with the silver part, first i am going to cook it in the oven, and take it apart, then i am gonna paint the silver part black and see how it looks, then after i will clearcoat it,,,,
if it turns out ok, i will try to get a hold of a way to carbon fiber it,,,, :D :D
crazy ideas eh,, i am sure it hasnt been done b4,,,
I will update you guys with pictures tommorow as the project starts and i have 3 days till the end of reading week,,,,
lataz,,,
PS: i need inputs on how to get the CF look to it, is there like a fabric that i can get a hold of and stick it on the silver part to cover it,,,

yea that's what i was gonna say. get the adhesive type, not the film.. that way you can pull it off if you have to modify it a bit more to make it fit.
ps: you dont have to clearcoat the black since it wont be exposed to any weather/damage.
