something you should never do

just thought i should pass on to everyone that you really shouldn't turn your car on while its in gear and parked in front of a brick wall, even with the handbrake on tight. $5500AU for respraying, bodywork, radiator, air conditioner core, new headlights+foglights+bulbs, badge, number plate $500AU f...

too many k's?

I am thinking about investing in a turbo kit for my 2.5 v6 de. The engine has just passed 100,000km's. Is this too many to consider the modification? i have never had any kind of engine problem. did a "quick" search, but couldn't find any similar posts...

Oil Pressure

i have an autometer oil pressure guage installed and was wondering if anyone could give me an explantaion of the vary oil pressures i have experienced. During startup of pressure is around 60psi (high obviously), then after idling for a while it drops to 20psi which seems fairly normal. When i have ...

yeh, i use the kl28. i got an imported jap DE motor (they have lower kms), but no ecu so i had to use the kl28. It has the lower rev limiter (about 6000rpm.) now, about what the guy said in the message. have also removed this ECU from the JDM manual MX6 and a 626 Manual. I did not get them confused ...

i swapped the ecu over (KL28 - australian ecu), but the ecu is not actually the one originally from the engine. When the engine came in from the importers it was an automatic, so we did the conversion to manual and changed the ecu over. So i am running an imported automatic KL-DE engine from Japan c...

Cooling fan on DE swap

okay, i will begin by saying that whenever i go to the search part of this site i get error messages, so go easy on me if this is a fairly talked about subject. I recently swapped the K8 for the Jap DE (yes, there are jap DE's too, i checked the head codes with Mazda Japan) in my eunos along with th...

i think i might have mentioned this before but adelaide jap dismantlers (search yahoo) have them, but it looks like you might have a better price anyway considering its about $250 postage from adelaide to other cities. Are you doing the work yourself or getting a mechanic to do it? i have a gearbox ...

I'd try having Mazda Australia run the engine VIN. i called mazda australia and got them to run the engine number for me. The only info they could supply me with was that it definately was NOT an australian engine, anything else is up to the importer to state. Basically i think the only way i can d...
