Thanks for the replies. But it's looking like it is indeed a defective ECU (thanks ebay), supposively it killed my distributor and is causing other parts to short out. So now i'll be getting the car back with the k8 ecu :(. They still did say the car's damn fast. Said it felt faster than the h22a ci...

Would the intake manifold have anything to do with this?

They said they ported out the k8 IM instead of using the straight neck.

Since im using the k8 manifold would that be the reason only the k8 ecu works correctly?

Rad? Waterpump?

I've always had coolant problems. The overflow has never held coolant. Despite everything being pressure tested and its all supposively good. But my car finally overheated and wouldn't start back up. I dumped a bunch of coolant in after letting it cool off. It was like a funnel, right through the en...

New problem just surfaced....

As I slowly gather parts for the ZE swap, I still have to live with the good old k8 for a little longer. About a week ago I was coming to a red light and as I slowed down car just shuts off. About another week later it happened again, slowly it was happening more frequently, but now I can barely kee...

Trying to locate OBX headers...

It's FINALLY time to do the swap. I'm having a little trouble locating OBX headers for the ZE.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Do not get a cap if your already having electrical problems, it's only going to put even more strain on your alt. Caps are fairly useless anyway, definately not worth the money.

A Few problems (idle)

This has only really been happening during the colder months of the year, but when I first start up the car it will idle at around 1.5k. From there is slowly goes up to 2k, after about 5 min it will be just over 2k then shoots right up to 3k. From there it will either rev itself from about 2.3-3k no...
