If you can't take the annoying ticking, you'll have to use 1) a high quality synthetic and B) a 5W30, not a 10W. And even if it meets those requirements, some oils might make it tick. Personally, my engines both tick with Mobil1 5W30, even though it's more expensive than Pennzoil Synthetic. Pennzoil...

A big duhhhhh ......... You could just take the lenses off the JDM and glue onto the USDM base without an H4 conversion. I would have bought them for the lenses for $100.

Did you fail at a certain RPM, or all RPM?

FYI, the O2 sensor isn't used during idle .... so if you failed idle, replacing O2 won't help you there.

Also the thing to remember is each time you drop them down they create more distortion or THD which takes away from the usable volume. As if it matters in the bass frequencies. You've got to get above 10% THD in the bass frequencies to really discern any distortion on source material where the high...

I asked my dad to take a quick look at the timng belt tensioner and he said the bearing seems fine.. We mean the hydraulic tensioner that pushes on the tensioner bearing arm. It should require several hundred pounds of pressure to compress the arm. cam friction gear spring I take it you mean the sp...

Man if you don't know what your doing then take it to a pro. What happens if you screw up the job and kill someone or yourself. Thats just my two cents. If you screw up a brake job, you should be killed. It's Darwinism at its best. Brake jobs are the easiest thing in the world to do besides an oil ...

If you're pulling the engine apart, just get a used KLDE engine and play with that. The K8 head gaskets cost like $350 a pair vs. $100 a pair for KL head gaskets.

No s---. In '05 I went from Vegas to Chicago in three days - 1800 miles.

Last month, I went from Chicago to Seattle in three days - 2100 miles.

That's a damned trip.

If you're going Tokico, you might as well get Ford Racing ZX2 SR struts, as they are just Tokico struts, but half the price retail Tokicos

I drive mine on the low octane on long distance trips, and mid grade daily. I never use the high grade. It doesn't make any noticable difference in power. We have knock sensors anyways, so even if it did create a problem, it wouldn't 'blow up' our engines. As said, in high elevation cities, 87 octan...
