Re: '98 Escort Zx2 > Any Good?
they're good cars, I know a couple of people that had escorts, no major problems and they loved them. I think in the $5k range though, (ruling out the mx-3) the 2nd gen integra ('90 - '93) is a better bet, especially if you can find one from an original owner IMHO.

Re: Lemans
Actually if I recall correctly they banned use of the rotary engine because it was deemed too advantageous. The 787B race car can be seen and raced in GT3 on playstation 2.

Re: idle jump to 2000 when hot out?
What I find is that anything that taxes the electrical system causes the computer to set the idle RPM higher to keep up with demand. The fan running is a big one on hot days, I'll bet the fan was running a lot more than you thought it was, today was pretty hot out.
Mine was doing the same, but onc...

From what you describe it could also be wheel bearings, less expensive than CV joints.

hiding license plates in pics
I was looking through pictures of cars and started to wonder why people photoshop their plates to make them illegible in pictures. I mean while you're driving around everyone can see them, so unless the law or an ex is after you what's the deal?
This all started because I had an overwhelming urge ...

Re: MAZDA NOOB HERE!!! Buying my first MX-3
A lot of dealers get mixed up because of the MX-6, the 6 cyl. in that is 2.5L and they assume it's the same 6 in the MX-3. If you look through autotrader you'll see a few listed as 2.5L 6cyl and they aren't. Good luck in your search ....

I think he's using the fuzzy stuff on the wheels 'cause the car isn't lowered, or maybe he heard people put "skirts" on their cars .... ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Be sure to check the trunk, especially the spare, and the jack. Loose stuff there can sound like it's coming from elsewhere, anyways ....

Re: Protege ES 99 -> MX-3 V6 GS 93
The mx3 is a great car, and very reliable. But I completely agree with guyaverage, I also think you are undervalueing your '99 protege, checking autotrader they go for more than 7500. unless yours has a reason to be lower priced .... IMHO of course.

Try the "Bolt Out" craftsman set from Sears, I've seen it take out not just stripped bolts, but completely rounded ones. Might work with yours .....

Wow, they look great. What springs are you gonna use with 'em?
Only if you want to of course, but when your're done with the install an account of how it went would be nice.
