Mine is due in a couple of weeks and I've had people tell me to put 20-50W oil in to stop it burning oil, fill the tank 3 times with 94 octane gas, buy 4l of Coleman camping fuel and add that to the tank as it burns 'really ...

Re: high mileage oil
been using Valvoline high mileage for 15000km now and the oil consumption went down from 1500km per liter to 2200km per litre. My V6 has done over 182,000km now. Seems ok and probably worth the slight extra cost.

Flywheel Machining
My local Mazda dealer is saying when I change the clutch I need to have the flywheel machined for about C$100. Because it will have heat spots after being used for 175,000kms. Is this true?
If I do the clutch myself to save $600 in labour do I have to get the flywheel done?
Thanks

Cold Air Intake
I've got all the bits to make one of David C's intakes. The only thing I can see going wrong is what to do with the vacuum pipe that goes into the stock filter housing.
Any ideas?
Is it ok to block it up or is it needed for something?
