What's the best home made tool to use for holding in the gears when the driveshaft is pulled out? I would appreciate a diamater and length measurement so I can make something up. Also when the shaft is pulled out how quickly do you need to get the tool in?<p>If anyone has any points on what can wrong I would like that as well as normally I seem to have those sort of things happen to me!<p>thx

If you are talking about the spidergears in the tranny just shove some newspaper or a towel in it.
