Braided Pipe Under Oil Pan

Does anybody know what the braided exhaust pipe is that is under the oil pan - it's beofre the catalyst - mine's just starting to rust out where the downpipes connect into it?<p>How much to replace?<p>thanks

i think its the flexpipe, part of the down pipe.

So, I guess if this flex pipe has cracked welds on it - that the engine's been rocking a lot and I need to replace my mounts?<p>Thanks
