FINALLY, on the road.

Finally, my MX-3 is on the road. I get to feel what it's like again. Only drove it for an hour after we put moving insurance on in the winter. A little dissappointed that there's hardly any torque, but very impressed on how I can get up to speed a hell of a lot quicker. You cant feel that you're gai...

Spiral Max - Comments?

http://www.spiralmax.com/
Hey guys, this is kinda a performance question, but not restricted to the 4cyl or the 6cyl so I posted it here.
I recently came across this website. Not sure if it has ever appeared here on MX-3.com. I'm g...

Re: I just bought my MX3 yesterday... I got questions?

Yeah, I paid a pretty penny for my 94' GS also. Shades, you bought that at a dealership correct? I believe I looked at that car when I was in Vancouver for the weekend awhile back. Lucky Auto is off the top of my head. I can't remember though.
Jordan
Prince George BC

Re: mx-3 worth

I'm not sure what the dollar is now. I think Canadian's only have 50% currency right now, but I'm not sure if that would be the best choice if you do have some cash to spend. I'd check on how many KM/Mi it has. If it's low, then you save hassles in the long run and you can use the money that you wil...

Re: jackattack

Just go to any body shop. I bet they'd do it for cheap. I wouldn't try to do it in cold weather either. Especially up in Canada. Nothing will set.

Re: painted rims

Erm... Not really. I don't think it would turn out very good to begin with. I think the rims we have on our stocks are pretty damn complimentary to any MX-3 car colour. Changing them black will look like they don't belong there in my opinion. Maybe a picture will change my mind.

Re: Chopping off Resignator's/Muffler/Cat

Because I'm the kinda guy who would spend 5 dollars now, even if I was offered a million not to spend it for a day.
I just wanna get a few things sounding better, one the exhaust, NOW. I few buddies did this with their Sunfires. It sounds pretty damn good, but yes, they did lose power in the back ...

Chopping off Resignator's/Muffler/Cat

For the meantime, I just want to get rid of my Resignator Muffer and Cat. I'll be putting on cat back exhaust down the road. A few months or so, but for now, since we're nearing spring and my MX will go back on the road. Is there any long term or short term effects if you take off these three things...

Re: 92 needs neon but I got problems

Hey guys, take er easy. The kid's god a point. Remember when you were 16? Hell, I was 16 a year ago. It's pretty tough for us young guys to do some of the mods you guys do. Luckily I work at a pulp mill and make a little bit of money to put some performance mods in, but at 16, especially in Canada, ...

Re: Removing Dash!!!!

My suggestion is use a flathead screwdriver. Just pop off the top half off the dash. There are two screws located on each side of the steering wheel. Both are tricky. You have to pull the trim down really quick, but make sure you don't do this in really cold weather or you'll bend in. From here, you...

Re: where to find LED'S

http://www.varad.com have awesome Hyperbright Blue LED's. They come in a strand of four, make sure you ask for the ones with no flashing feature. I ordered 2 sets of 4. I placed an LED in each vent and two above my chrome pedals and two belo...

Re: '93 and '94 dashboard

I have a 94'GS MX-3 with the new dash style... I'm almost positive all 94'+ GS' have the same style as the 94' RS and so on. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Vinyling Leather?

I'm about to vinyl the leather upper section of my door face. If I want to change the colour down the road, will the leather in any way get faded or the vinyl not heat off? I've vinyled my dash components, but I'm shying away from the leather right now. Anyone have any ideas?
Jordan
