Vacuum line questions
I've been reassembling my IM and have a couple questions someone might be able to answer? 1. In the vacuum line that runs from the rear of the IM to the cannister for the butterfly solenoids (red squares in the pic) is a small filter or check valve. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t258/1981aloha2...

Re: nsklzemx3 - 1993 MX-3 GS
ok so you tell me that you can't really afford cams, but you go buy a chipped ecu, headers and an exaust. You do know that you can pick up a set of kl31 cams for like $100. there just stock cams man, there not crazy priced. Honestly man. the cams with a good intake and exahust will make a HUGE diff...

Re: Cosmetic ZE Refinishing
you have a cool idea but unless its gonna be a show car youll be wasting your time and money To each his own, but I don't agree. I like a clean engine bay. And if you lived where I do...the world capital of salted highways, you'd know how crappy aluminum can get in a matter of months. Everything go...

Re: n00b
I'm trying to spend money on what would be hard to do after the install and I'm on a budget so I wasn't even sure if I'd do headers before it went on the road. Whats 80 bucks right?? http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t258/1981aloha27/KLZE%20Swap/PDR_0101.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t258/...

Re: Cosmetic ZE Refinishing
I think you should go all out, and have the most colorful bay EVER! I think I'm already committed to lots of color. The intake system is mainly blue and polished aluminum. The VCs red. The fuel rails deep purple. Alternator and all top end components will be polished aluminum. Yellow MBX wires. SS ...

Re: Cosmetic ZE Refinishing
VCs and IM are back from the powder coaters. I still have some polishing to do on the raised letters, but here's how they looked right out of the kiln. I went with candy red on the VCs and candy blue on the IM. The candy shows imperfections more than a "crinkle" finish, but it will be much...

Re: Need help identifying my ECU
Looks like it was seriously overheated to the point of boiling and drying the oil trapped in the head. But after all I know what you mean about starting fresh. Make sure you have the heads checked for warpage,
Good luck!
