it sounds like your leaking coolant somewhere and it could possibly be going into the oil reservoir which would explain why your temps shoot up like that.

no, if your egr is messed up you wont really notice it, your blowing smoke when you start your vehicle because your valve seals must be passing.

correction, i ordered a j-spec engine and it came with the ms8 curved necked manifold and it had kl101 and kl1a1 on the heads, i read somewhere on here that all that means is that it is the low compression ZE motor, with 9.2:1 compression instead of the 10:1, and has 190hp, instead of the 200hp, and...

that is somewhat of a safety feature so you have PLENTY of warning time before you ACTUALLY run out of gas, see, already saved you guys from running out of fuel, and its also not very good to run a fuel pump dry because its hard on it, especially in summertime when fuel pumps cavitate alot easier.

you're right, you would virtually lose the ability to accelerate in that gear......with a stock motor.

while your doing the brake lines, pull the bolts off that hold on the caliper and go to canadian tire and get what they call "synthetic brake lube", then lube the bolt shafts up and put the caliper back on, that should fix the sticking/squeaking if that is the problem.

go to http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com , then click applications under fuel pumps, go down till you see the mx3 in the list. the 255lph pump is 94 bucks.

yeah get the 255lph walbro pump, the pump i think can be pulled right out from under the rear seat, you should buy the new pump according to the tank that it is going into, so buy it for the mx3.

the third sensor is the fan thermosensor, the only thing it does is shut your fan on and off when the temperature fluctuates, otherwise if it is not hooked up, when your engine gets up to temperature, the fan just stays on all the time, and if you have the sensor hooked up, if you look under the V6 ...

you will have no problems putting the K8 tranny on the ZE, the only difference between the K8 tranny and KLDE tranny is the final gear ratio i believe, everything bolts right up.
This is correct, BUT.. the PGT and mx-3 trannies are identical. The Mx-6 tranny has the longer gear.
