Cheers for your help, all sorted now, thankfully. I managed to top the fluid up from where the dipstick is. One tip I didn't know though, always check the auto transmission fluid when its hot, and with the engine running, I had no idea on that one, a chap who lives locally and works with auto boxes ...

Cheers, so whats the drain bolt for then? is the 3rd drain bolt connected to that too? it has a long spring inside the 3rd drain bolt if that helps at all? Only a small amount of fluid came out of there. Bear in mind it's an import and the engine is totally different from the 1.6 shown in the online...

Hi, am I correct in thinking to change the transmission fluid on the autozam 1.5 auto mx-3 there's a drain bolt near the engine oil drain plug? and the new fluid goes into where you check the fluid level? Any ideas what the drain plug by the small sump is for? (front right as you look at the engine)...

Hi chaps, I've done an oil change on my imported mx-3 but am confused as to why it has 3 drain plugs? I know the first one is for the engine oil but what are the other 2 for and how does one replace the oil in these? Many thanks, Sloggy.

Is my MX3 dying??
Hi, I've just got my baby through her mot, at some expense, but they advise "excessive wear/movement between crankshaft and pulley - Both have elongated keyways which shifted valve/ignition timing - Requires new crank and pulley or specialist repair work" Does this mean she's dying??
