Re: Need a new CD/MP3 player... suggestions?
If you want the 8500 you better get it soon. Pioneer is going to advance that model up to the 9600 in January and there are some considerable advances made in the unit, but with those advances comes an increase in cost. My advice, if you like Pioneer wait until January and look at the DEH8MP, or the ...

Re: need opinions please!
Thats really funny, I am a product specialist for Pioneer electronics, but in my pre-pioneer days I owned alot of alpine, I also have that sub, (it sounds damn good in the MX3) But you definately want to run power to all of the REV series speakers. They are fantastic speakers, but they are power ...

millenia engine
I know everyone is sick and tired of hearing the infamous 4 letters KLZE, and the 2.5 questions but please continue to read because this question is a little different, I would like to know how compatable the 2001 millenia engine is with the MX3 (trans, ecu..) I searched through past posts and found ...

Trouble
My car runs great most of the time but lately it will bogg real bad, like its running on 5 cyl, I have checked most of the obvious, and a local guy around here has said that if my engine is jspec it was designed to run on 100 octane, which you can't get here (92 is best we've got) so I run octane ...

Re: Intercooled Turbo
Mitmaks- you should not be so quick to reply with n rude answer, especially when its WRONG! In fact most people who are turbo charging their cars without large amounts of internal work done to their engine do so with a forced air system that does not include an intercooler.

Re: Creaking trim
I had this problem and don't worry in 5 minutes it will be gone, (If you have some electrical tape) Take about 6 inches of black tape and wrap it around the U shaped latch on your hatch, and all will be well. I know the sound seems like its coming from all over the place but nearly everytime this ...

Re: Why bigger wheels?
To say that 17+" rims are nothing more than for looks is a little off. Someone already noted that the contact patch is larger because the tire is wider, also many times if you measure a 17" rim with 40 series tires (which are a must if you go that big and plan on lowering your car) they are actually ...

Go to your local auto parts store and buy a set of spring compressors for $20 dollars, they aren't anything fancy but they work fine, DO NOT drop your car more than 2.5 inches, I have intrax springs, which list as a 2-2.5 inch drop and it can at times be a rough ride, the cornering ability is ...

Turbo pistons
In the process of turbo charging my car I came across a set of turbo pistons, they are new in the box with a set of rings, they are designed for a turbo sr22 (toyota), I know some boring would have to be done but how much, as they were designed for an I4, I can possibly get two more, but will they ...

Re: the removal of ones in dash cassett player
ranman is exactly right. DO not mess with with the wiring, I've done that many times in the past but you'd be silly cut them. If you can afford that deck, then go buy a wire harness, I worked in an electronics store and they are $15, and when you go buy it ask the guys in the install bay if you can ...

Re: NA and turbo....
If you have a turbo charger put in your shop will most likley build custom headers. If you are a welder and have access to a tig welder you can have the flanges cut at a machine shop and then weld headers together yourself, but if I were you I'd wait until your ready for turbo to do your headers ...

I talked to Turbo Tech and they are starting that probe on Mon. How did you know? Anyway if anyone is looking into turbo in the nw, they are pretty cool, there going to cut flanges for everything, if I trace the patterns on steel they will cut it CHEAP! And if anyone else ever gets in itch to turbo ...
