Re: KLZE boost friendly?
The KLZE is fine for boost. But like said, it takes a little more tuning to get it to run safely without detonation. Most people opt for the lower compression KL03 engine because of the larger margin of error durring tuning. But remember this, with the KLZE you are already starting out with an extra...

Re: Turbo Piping
SE-Man: To answer your question directly, a 2" exhaust will restrict exhaust flow and reduce velocity.
Now, Don't go with 3", Don't go with 2", Go with 2.5" or 2.25"

Re: Turbo Piping
Actually 3" exhaust piping is quite large. I would go closer to a 2.5" exhaust piping. The only time I see a 3" exhaust is on HIGH horespower, HIGH displacement engines. A lot of people use a 3" downpipe, but not exhaust. You will loose the velocity you need. Stick with a 2.5&quo...

Re: Trial fit intercooler
I didn't read the entire post. I'm sorry, but I got bored. If you keep it there, I like Curt's idea of the hood scoop. If you DO plan on having a FMIC int he next year, then what I would do is do your little home made RAM air duct work, but also put a fan in there (like the radiator fans) because if...

3 i/c VS 2 i/c VS 1 i/c
Ok, I need backup on this. My friend has a Audi TT with the dual side mount intercoolers. He wants to install a 3rd FMIC onto the car. IMO this will do nothing more than put more restriction on the intake system, and cause a significant pressure drop. It may cool the air more, but without the pressu...

Re: lower boost pressure ????????
LOL, I love these topics. But Foxhound, seriously, don't listen to Ashley (OsoSlo z28) he sold his MX-3 and bought a V8 :looks down in shame: But kidding, Ash knows his ****. If it were ME tho, I would find an external wastegate and block the internal. That or find another turbo with an internal wit...

Re: boost +V6???
Battosai has a good, albeit, unconventional setup. He's basically hidden his charger underneath the engine so it is invisible from under the hood. I havn't seen any pictures of it since it has been in. (I don't know if he has taken any) but him and I ran thru a lot of the technical **** when he was ...

Pipes, It sounds as if you already have an alarm system installed on your car. What make and model? A lot of alarm systems have an option of 'dome light security' which will leave the interior light on for a specified ammount of time after the alarm is activated, or the last door is shut. (this allo...

Re: MX3 / RX8
somewhere they have 450+HP N/A KL03 engines on record. Havn't seen them for myself yet tho. Anyhow, 300HP is very doable with the stock internals of the KLZE. Tuning is key tho. I believe Sean Matthews is running over 300BHP. I wouldn't suggest it because reliability will be sacraficed. KLZE has 10:...

Re: MY LATEST IDEA? has anyone else done it?
what you would need to do is install the timer on your car for your interior lights. Then you will run a relay that will turn them on with the interior lights. Then you'll want a switch that will turn them on at will. This will require a line spliced into the power, then to the switch. If you need a...

Re: STREET RACING ISSUES FROM PREV POST
*sigh* I don't agree with talking about street racing on this board because Jeff doesn't like it. But what I dislike even more, is when people who street race talk out against the sport. I agree it's dangerous. I agree it's stupid. But so is accelerating to pass that stupid *** driving 30 in a 45. (...

Re: what does it take to beat mustang gt
If you try and pull a 5000 lb trailer see what happens. By the math thats oh...100 hp. So you should still have 100 hp (with a ze) so it will move as fast as a 93 4 banger right? That honestly has to be the stupidest assimilation I have EVER heard. That isn't taking into account the traction proble...
