I agree with John. Your car should not flood itself out. There is something causing it.

Hey John- I seem to have the same issues as you. First thing in the morning the exhaust spits out a liquid that is black in color. I believe it is water due to condensation that builds after the car is turned off. But, I also have a nice film of black soot all across the back of the car? From lookin...

The engine does'nt have to be set to TDC. Just insert it into the key and rotate it until it lines up with the holes.

Get a probe MAF(KL02) and a AFPR. The KL02 maf coupled withthe K8 ecu will have you running rich hence the Adjustable Fuel Presure Regulator. I ran this set-up before the ZE ecu.

I'm running a 40 shot on my ZE. Its a NOS dry kit but I have a fuel pump(walbro 255) and a AFPR. A refill only costs me 35 bucks.

BTW, the 40 shot is plenty fast. I'm probably going to try the 55 next.

I only paid 250 for the kit, got it off of PT.

Do the K8 ecu/KLo2 vaf and get a AFPR. Worked well for me before the KL36 ecu.

Just get a Im off a A-spec millinea. It will be plug an play. Don't bother with a DE IM(probe GT).

For a ZE there is a nipple on the side of the #6 runner to hook the FPR up to. Its right there next to the stock location of the FPR.

Maybe a FPR issue. Do you get in and turn the key all the way to start?
Try turning the key to the "on" position and give the fuel pump a minute to prime the fuel system. This is a common problem after swapping the stock FPR for a after market unit.

Yep, or more like you have left one off. I did it the first time I removed the IM. I've had it off three times now and it takes a total of45 mins. or so, off and back on.

There is a vac line that runs from the firewall to the back of the IM. The vacum nipple is turned and I think the vac line has a red dot on it. I think its egr related. Try to feel for it when the car is running.
