Re: Very emberassing: Amp and deck wattage relation
I see. Is it possible to blow out an amp by doing something regarding mismatched Wattages? To be honest, you're making this more complicated than it should be, and I understand the "I'm nervous, just triple checking" but when it comes to speakers and amps, it's not that difficult to figur...

Re: Very emberassing: Amp and deck wattage relation
Another embarrassing question here: Is it alright if my speaker wattage exceeds my amps? I'm looking at running a 300W Sub with a 200W amp. I'd assume it would be fine but I just want to double check. No problem. If you had a amp powering a speaker that's rated lower, it's a different story. You wo...

This whole thread is in reference to the GS alt I got off of Dark_Rider. Check out my work log for the workaround, rant and eventual installation of the alternator

Re: 20 years ago
I think the first two numbers in the last 6 are for something else, cause I'd be 110,8xx, and obviously, there weren't 100,000 MX-3s produced at launch, (i don't even know if total MX-3 production totals that much). But I guess go by the last 4 or 5

Re: Im2bad4ya - '92 RS BP Journal/Suspension Stuff - "Lucky"
GS Alternator Swap Okay, so let's get down to it. We all know or have heard of this upgrade. As it says the in the 4-cyl FAQ under the swappable parts thread: Swapping 60Amp (RS) for 90Amp (GS) alternator: I notice a couple of weeks a go, on my friend Ron'sProtege that the engine RPM's would change...

Re: Faulty Thermostat Sensor or just me???
My car runs, no problems at all. The issue is that the thermostat on my gauge cluster isn't reading engine temp properly, if you see the pic on the first post, the needle is on the H line. That's been normal operating temperature since I put the new sensor on. The needle will only occasionally bump ...

Re: Faulty Thermostat Sensor or just me???
Bad distributor? Also, if you noticed that your coolant was bubbling... bad head gasket. Highly doubtful. This happened after I got a new thermostat sensor. First time turning on the car after installing it. I think I have a loose wire or lifted ground somewhere. Car doesn't overheat, head gasket i...

Re: 20 years ago
Oh, I know the VIN, but can't do anything with it!! Well you know how the VIN works, the last (I think 6 numbers?) determines the number it came off the production line. You can gauge more or less when it came off the production line by asking others around here about their VINs and estimating its ...
