1971 mustang mach 1. the only reason why i didn't buy it was due to the poor gas mileage, plus i had to travel alot (kayak racing) and didn't want to replace parts. my uncle was selling it 100% restored for $5,000 to me.

Its the Oil cooler. I know on the BP that the nut is a 24mm. It should be holding the oil cooler to the bracket. The Size may be different on the k8 though. Remove the nut, the oil cooler should come off, and will let you replace it if you'd like to. Uhh..Head says K8 101 on it so I have no clue ab...

Topic: Doing a KLZE and MTX swap at the same time, good idea?

it is really quite easy. just make sure you have everything marked so you know where it goes afterward. if you are doing the engine swap and have a atx then yes do the mtx swap while you are doing the engine swap. as long as you know how to use your basic tools and where everything hooks up to after...

but in cars such as the newer 2.0 "neon's" it is rated for the 85 octane and will actually perform worse with the higher octane. but with most cars it doesn't matter, it is just that the computer doesn't agree with the octane level on some cars

sounds like it is time to go to a klze. the head gasket are worn if your car leaks oil while warming up. if it burns oil all the time then it is the rings. and at that point it is cheaper to do the klze swap. or atleast a klde, i think it is cheaper to do the de swap than to rebuild the k8.

the KLZE comes from jspec mx6's enus(sp?) 800(millenia), and 626's. they are being pulled out of the cars with relatively low mileage because of japanese smog laws. they generally have 30-50,000 miles or 50-80,000 km's.

i think the only way you can change you take off with an ATX is to get a chip to change the stall. so your car doesn't take off until higher rpms. most ATX muscle cars have it, but i don't know where to get one for a mx-3 or basically anything about it.
