Re: mx-3 in fast and furiouse 2

Actually, Mazda is thinking of reintroducing the RX-7 again. They are going to see how the RX-8 sales and aftermarket products go first.

Re: help with digital camera

you need to find out how many Megapixels that camera is. Mine is like 1.3 Megapixel and it is ok. It is not nearly as clear as my 35mm camera is. I think I need like a 4.0 or more Megapixel to get that type of quality.

Re: new paint job

Sure it is possible to sand just the clearcoat, but the hard part would be to know when you got down the the colored basecoat without taking the paint off. And you do not have to take it to bare metal. All you need to do is kill the shine in the paint by wetsanding it (using progressivly finer paper).

Re: just failed my emissions test

We are driving our MX-3 without current inspection. They recently dropped the maximum emissions number as well as requiring a dyno run. This makes it REAL hard to pass. Her car seems to be running fine, but we have failed the emissions 4 times! We have checked all sorts of stuff. We have run injecto...

Re: Body Kit Grill Inserts...

I have used several different things to keep the mesh on my grille. I thought about using Bondo for that, but I know that Bondo will crack with vibrations or if you were to bump a curb...so I stayed away from that. I used a combination of Mastic and adhesive epoxy. I have also used caulk on another ...

The Green and Black...i have always loved that combo and not too many people are bold enough to go with that color scheme...or maybe the...

Why does it have to be up FRONT? Actually, I have not taken any measurements, but you might be able to put it (with some slight mods) in the glove compartment. You might also be able to fit it under the seat...I cannot remember how much room is under the seats. As far as playing MP3 files, you should...

Re: Mobile Video - Any suggestions?

I know that you are on a budget, but it would probably be worth the extra money to just put a PS2 or an X-box, so you have a DVD player too.

Yeah, it looks good. I cant wait to see the finished install. I also like the interior. Do you have some more shots of that? I am going to do the same colors on my wife's MX-3...to match the exterior. Image

Re: Airbag kit for mx3?

unless you run from the cops or Auto-X alot, you really dont need to have super stiff suspension. I think the ride is bouncy like a lowered car, but not as harsh. Now I am not totally sure on the strutbags though. It does not look like there is a lot of air in the bag, so I am not sure if that would...

Re: Airbag kit for mx3?

Check out the link. The strutbag is an airbag that attaches to the top half of your existing strut. This makes it so that you can put air ride suspension on just about any car that has struts. The whole point of air ride is for adjustable ride height...not to mention that it is also just cool to be ...

Re: has anyone done this?

Sure, I installed a mesh grille on my wife's MX-3 before I painted it. Check out the pics. I cut out the middle piece (which left 2 nasty looking holes in the bumper). I used some of the mesh as a support over the holes and then put body filler over the mesh. It took me about 2-3 layers of filler to...
