Re: AFPR problem

Hook it up to a metered air hose and see if it gives the same reading. Maybe the gauge is just stuck

Re: k8 exhaust

My exhaust was trial and error. Here's a brief history: K8 with 2.25 mandrel bent cat back with strait through muffler = LOUD and obnoxious ZE stock exhaust manifolds and Y pipes, same exhaust as before = loud but deeper/meaner added pacesetter headers = REALLY LOUD added resonated TP (no more CAT) ...

The DE retainers are a smaller diameter because they're made for the smaller DE HLAs. They still fit, you just couldn't do the reverse kl31-> DE.
I know it's kinda late info but it might help someone reading

I think your ECU and MAF is gonna depend on your IM or your VRIS is gonna be all wrong. Since you're using the DE manifold I'd say get a probe/mx6 ecu and run th KL MAF

^that seems like a lot of acronyms

I've been talkin to Solo for a LONG time. He was just askin about them incase he built up the motor over the winter. He got a couple other performance parts from me so he was just wondering. I just thought it was funny that I knew who both of you were and this was my first time on mx3.com it at leas...

If it's off by a tooth, it'll tend to be smooth but sluggish.
It an ignition related wire somewhere is wrong or unplugged, it'll studder.

Hey Kirk 95 GS I think you're talking about MY cams I'm selling, and I'm pretty sure Solo is too. Just so you know, I swapped the valve springs and retainers and timing belt/water pump without pulling the motor. It was about 8 hours of strait work and an exhaust cam rolled off the motor and broke (h...

Just a quick question. Is it an ECU or EPROM? I know the EPROM's for a K8 ECU and KL ECU are different programs. My EPROM in the K8 was horrible (used MAF and VAF), put it in the KL-07 ECU and it ran smooth with both sensors.

I'd say it's because you're still running stock injectors. I ran the K8 ecu, Je-50, K8 IM for a year with no problems exept it ran rich. It was slow and torqueless till I swapped out the fuel rail and injectors from the ZE IM. Mind you having the ZE IM and proper ecu will make you think your engine ...

It bolts right in, the only thing that needs to change it the piece that the throttle cable attaches to and pulls on (switch to stock). Yea it's close to the break booster, but IT DOESN'T HIT. I guess you also need to move the battery, that's why i got dryer hose attaching the VAF. Just remember, my...

Strait neck manifold in an mx-3

Yes this is my first post but i remember a while back there was a discussion about the long strait neck ze IM not fitting, today I did it. and unlike those other guys, i'll gladly post pics when I figure out how. On a side note, don't worry about welcoming me to the site because I've been here for a...
