Do I have a lemon, or am I just unlucky?

I bought a 95 DOHC in January. At first it worked fine, but then the alternator died, and I had to replace it. Then the CV joint went, and I had to replace it. Then a headlight went, and I had to replace it. Then, just today, the radiator went, and I had to replace the coolant assembly. I've spent a...

How hard is it to recharge the air-con? Is it just it just a question of connecting hoses and listening to the gases hiss?

(I clicked on one of those ebay links, by the way, and noticed the risk of "Tumors on testicles" from certain refrigerants!)

Should I just be filling the plastic tank with water? How exactly should I be treating the coolant?

Oo ... seems a bit complicated. I think I'll just keep an eye on the levels (and tempeature) and take it in if it seems screwed-up. The temperature was up a bit today, but not too high, and I was doing a lot of high-speed driving (on the highway, not the track). One question; that small plastic tank...

Coolant leak? How do I find out?

I recently had to fill up the radiator with coolant, since it ran out. It's been a couple of days and working fine, but I'm still a bit nervous that I might have a slow leak in there.

Is there any way to find out if I'm leaking coolant, and if so where the leak is located?

Yeah, it's probably the belt. Give it a bit of a tighten and everything should be fine. But afterwards, use a voltmeter, if you have one, to see how much power the alternator's putting out.

I'm no expert, but I kind of think the fuel injector should get more attention then a jar of cleaner poured into the gas tank.

I say all cars suck, honda, mazda, domestic, import... they all suck! its all about the driver, what they do with the car and how its driven. A car is just a car. The driver makes the car what it is! "It's not the crate, it's the man driving the crate that counts." -- The Red Baron

A tip for keeping the windows from fogging

Here in Toronto, we had yet another cold snap, with the temperature once more dipping below -10 ( ). I've always been highly annoyed by the fact that the windows in my MX-3 (95 4-cylinder dohc) are constantly fogging up, forcing me to switch between the front to side vents. But a buddy of min...
