Well the squealing sound was getting very loud, constant, and annoying. So while I was on a break at work I sprayed some WD-40 in 1 or 2 places, mainly the drop links and surrounding parts. Also I am missing half of one of my front wheel centres so lots of water and dirt get in, even though I dont s...

I hate those plastic fasteners. Once you take them out once they never fasten the same. I have a little tip if you have lost or broken any. I replaced some of the ones you cant see (the ones under the rear speakers for example) with good old nuts, bolts and washers. Not only do they hold in place be...

:( Thanks for the reply - If it is the mounts then is it expensive to fix and is it an urgent problem? I replaced my tranny fluid last year, although I did forget to put the washer back on and there is some oil around the drain plug although I never see any on the ground so I assume its not leaking ...

Clunky Click Sound

Over the past few months I have a strange sound sort of a clunky click sound coming from somewhere under the engine/gearbox/shifter area. It doesnt happen all the time and doesnt seem to be getting any worse. It sometimes happens when I accelerate, sometimes when I brake, sometime when I change gear...

Yes, rain-x works, but ONLY if you apply it properly. Clean the glass and follow the instructions. However when it starts to wear you need to keep on applying it.

Front exhaust section questions, advice wanted.

Hi, My car (97 V6) was up on a ramp the other day and I noticed that the front exhaust section is in quite bad shape. Also one if the mental rings that goes around the end of the exhaust flex pipe has come off and is rattling around freely. I had a look at parts and it seems no 3rd parties make fron...

Well its been one problem after another replacing the condenser. For anyone else looking to replace their ac condenser in the UK, the US parts fit fine (from acpartsnow) so thats a plus. However getting the nut loosend the holds the low pressure pipe into the condenser took ages, it had been put on ...

Quick question, Pushing radiator back? Is it ok?

To get a bit more space to work in, can I simply lift the radiator out of its mounts and lean it back abit? Or do I risk braking something?

Thanks,
Paul

ok, so I'm getting my condenser delivered tomorrow and there is a AC pro coming to my house to vacuum, test, and gas it. Tonight I noticed that in order to access the pipes to disconnect the condenser I would be best to remove the front bumper as getting a spanner at the low pressure side pipe is ve...

Hi, I finally ordered the condenser today and its getting shipped from the states which should only take a few days (the shipping was more than the actual condenser). As you know the system has a leak in the condenser and all the pressure (and gas) is all but gone. So can anyone just reassure me tha...

If the fans turn on and the compressor clicks on then the electrical side should be ok. It does sound like you might have created a leak in one of the pipes. 1) In my UK MX-3 the relays are the big rubber coated boxes (3 or 4 of them) at the top left of the engine bay, they are pretty obvious. 2) Yo...

To lower the fuel pressure before you replace the filter, do you really need to remove the back seat and run the engine with the fuel pump dissconnected?

Thanks for all the little tips. I guess I should spend some time and relocate the filter to a better location. Keep the tips comming :) I'm grateful for all the info.
