Re: shape of the cat after 60.000 km
Is it worth to replace the whole 7 year old exhaust (65 000 km) from the collector to the end or just from the cat to the end?

shape of the cat after 60.000 km
Recently I have made a small check of my chassis and a horrible picture has shown up... My entire exhaust is eaten by the rust...So I decided to go custom. I still haven't decided if I am going to make 2" or 2.25 " piping (No ZE swap in the future...for now). I don't want to cut off the ca...

Re: Oil Drinker
if it is common for the K8 then my engine....is very uncommon... It doesn't drink a bit, even though I like to floor the gas pedal pretty much every day
. My K8 has some 65 thousand kilometers done so I don't know how will it do after 100 thousand more!

Re: help needed
Damn dude that sucks. I have a bad feeling about mine too cause everyone says that front cv joint is bad while I hear knocking at the back while turning...And the problem is that there is nothing at the back suspension to be knocking, we checked it... So I have to ride it until it falls apart cause ...

Re: help needed
It seems like it is CV joint but me and my mechanic aren't 100% sure. He suggested driving like always until it starts knocking on every ocasion not only on turning right.
As I found out there are many posts considering it so I will not be mad or anything if you just plain delete it,
Thanks

Re: This car is amazing
I don't belive you man. I raced yesterday a 1.6 Vtec del Sol with my stock gs. He left me behind like two lengths of the car... He had a passenger btw and I didn't... You can't beat 160 hp del sol with stock Mx, this just doesn't calculate.

help needed
I am not sure if this problem was spoken about before and if this is the good place to talk about it, but I need your help. I have this strange knocking on my left right side of the car when I take a sharper right turn. This happens when the turn is taken with a higher speed. I once read that someon...

Re: This car is amazing
The brakes seemed to be sharper really, this was my subjective opinion I mean. After I made them a bit warmer they seemed to be sharper. As for the winter tires DJ I don't know if you are going to have better times. The summer rims are probably bigger (wider) so they will give you more aerodynamic s...

This car is amazing
I once said on this forum that my car has 9.0 sec to 100 km/hand it seems that it doesn't. I recently managed to get the catalog number of 8.5 sec. I did this after some 30 minutes of pretty fast and aggresive warmup of this car. Nine second result was tested after some 5 minutes of pretty smooth dr...

Re: Standard brakes in Mx-3
what do you mean by "bleeding"? I mean I have always heard that Mx-3 brakes are pour, and I feel that they are not as sharp as they could be...I have changed the front pads 3 weeks ago but they just don't feel to good. Braking from 120 mph (200 km) or from much smaller speeds just doesn't ...

Standard brakes in Mx-3
I have this question about standard (crappy) Mx-3 brakes. I know that most of the braking power is on the front side, but I was wondering if it is normal for the rear pads to use about 60 % of the rotors' surface. What i mean is that front rotors are all polished, but the rear ones are polished in a...

Re: standard brakes in Mx-3
and btw, what braking pads do you recommend? Is it worth buying some better pads without rotors, because I can't afford it all and some better braking power would be nice...
