I just wanna make sure that to do the conversion from rear drums to disks, that I can use ANY year of MX3 as a donor. As in, can I fit the parts from a '92 Gs unto my '95 RS?
Thanks for any and all help

Re: Lookin' to buy my first MX3...Please help..Sorry long
Definately no probs with the RS (I'm sticking by mine). If you don't do mods on the exhaust, but wanna stay OEM, the primary cat could give you a headache and a half on price. The rear disk brakes (I'd heard) can be a bit of a nag, with e-brake seizing up, as well as caliper probs, (someone correct ...

Re: some people just don't know
Well, if we're on the topic if somewhat bragging, my lil' '95 4 Cyl (DOHC),(std) with nothing more than intake and exhaust (oh yeah, and mostly gutted interior) recently (and sadly) took an IS300 from the line (after HE revved HIS engine first), and in my 3rd gear, he was laggin' behind...(but I dra...

Re: Hello all (newbe)
before any panic arises from these recalls, check your VIN at ur local dealer, half the time they don't apply to your vehicle....I checked mine in Ottawa, 'n they said there wasn't anything (in this region, actually, from what I recall), so regardless, check it with them and they'll tell you specifi...

Re: please help, clutch?
My clutch is doing something similar.... my problem is that the clutch release bearing is either drying up, or dry, therefore making a sound equivalent to a belt squeeling (very annoying). 'N to fix it, I gotta get a new clutch, as you can't re-grease the bearing. I could hear it most (and loudest) ...

What gas do u guys use?
Well, like the subject says, just curious what ya guys puttin' in the cars. Curious cuz I've been putting Super in it (regardless of what co., tho I prefer Sunoco's gas), and although my car behaves alot better ie: better mileage, better pickup/spunk, she can't go more than around 2500, 3000km tops,...

Re: SERIOUS ISSUES ... NEED HELP
clean the throttle body and get a new PCV valve, sounds like you have a high mileage engine with too much blowby, idle air control motor polluted with dirt 'n oil, basically it sounds like a vaccuum problem. When the alternator is overloaded from the things you mentioned, it loads the engine and tha...

The primary cat is amongst the more expensive pieces on them, if you stick to OEM parts. But other than that, as Darren Hyderman said, maintain 'n it'll last

Re: hey guys new mwmber a couple ?? on my 95 mx3 rs
To stand up for my 4 Cyl tho, in standard, they are wonderful and when driven as they should be, they can take on alot of models ya wouldn't think it could... One thing for autos tho with the MX3s, they've the hold button that actually does work really well, if you know how to time it that is... If ...

Re: Is this a Good Deal?
Hey Kim, yeah they're other girlz on the board too (like me), and I'm with Curtklze when he said he'd pay for your dad's car (at his requested price) only if he fixed the probs you mentioned. SE's are nice, but not when you've got trap doors on 'em (the window 'n door thing u mentioned), plus to pas...

Re: stupid cat.
Actually, if it was the primary cat then it's really a good deal, as my Cost (being a garage) from dealer on the primary cat is like $700-800, and then there'd be labour on that. Plus half the time, if you wanna take off the primary cat, the nutz break into the exhaust manifold cuz they're so rusted...

Re: stupid cat.
Are you talking primary cat? Cuz then it's a deal, considering how much dealer charges for the primary cat.(although I just gutted mine) Secondary? Then yeah, it's insane. (my input)
