The first thing I do whenever I get a new ride is rip the rear speakers out. Rear speakers are a waste of time IMO.

Why are you trying to take it out with the axles still in? Take the axles out. If they won't come out, you'll need to take disassemble the driver's axle to get it short enough to clear the fender. The driver's side axle extension should come out after you loosen a few bolts.

I never, ever, ever shift below 3500 RPM. Usually 5000 when I'm driving like a granny. I shift at 7500 when I'm in a rush.

anyone mind if I take this ZE circle jerk back on topic? ... the flat spot... is this just to be accepted or can cleaning the linkagkes for the VRIS shutters clean it up? I ask because just yesterday after reading this thread, my K8 developed said flat spot... for me it happens if I "sne...

With the K8 ECU, the power band on the KL engine shifts peak power up 500 RPM. Then, if you didn't have Probinator reprogram your new VRIS points, you'll also miss some power there from the wrong VRIS points. Only other thing I can think is your grounds may be questionable, causing ignition problems...

Most people with the stock 1.8 'see' a power dip at 4,000 RPM. It's usually just the slight delay when the VRIS flaps shift followed by a power surge when the intermediate runners start flowing air.

That's a chick? I thought it was a transvestite?

Is that Richard Clark in that other pic? I'd rather have Richard Clark than a transvestite.

I'd love to put some Treo 18"s in a car that small.

A Clarion 36" would be fun to put in a car like that too, but it wouldn't do as well in SPL. But it'd LOOK cool.

A 36 Hz tuning frequency for a 15 is the SQ tuning? That'd have as much SQ as shoving a cat turd in your ear. I don't even tune my 10's that high. I don't have the Thiele-Smalls for the L7 in my box program, but I'd venture to guess you'd want it under 25Hz. My 15" is tuned to 18Hz to hit the L...

Which club did you go with? All the clubs I saw required tworacing classes before doing a HPDE on your own. I wanna go. Next one you hear about, let me know and I'll come down. I've done the swap, and I'll even let you run a session in my car to see what the swap will do for you.

I wouldn't do it. If you tried turning while hard braking, your steering will become difficult in corners ...... i.e. dangerous. If you drive like a pussy, it might not matter. But the way I drive my MX3, I'd never ditch the power steering. I race mine on a track...with turns and hard breaking. Not...

I've done autocross and it was lame. 8 hours of waiting for 4 minutes of driving - not worth it imo. I've never seen 8 hour waits. SCCA Chicago was the busiest I ever saw with like 300 cars, but the wait was nowhere near 8 hours. Most Autocross I've been to you get a run like every hour and get out...
