What do you shift at?

im curious to see what other people are shifting at while theyre doing daily driving and racing?

Me, i usually shift at around 3000rpm daily driving, and racing im not that sure, more focused on how far ahead i am of the other guy lol.
1994 MX-3 GS KLZE, Probinator, Bully stage 1 (probe GT), B&M Short Shifter, 2 1/4" Custom headders back.

wtf...

I shift at like 4k just before vris seems to kick in at 4200. In most cases that is.

in my klze racing: 6600
daily driving: whatever I feel like between 3-5 depending on gear... :roll:

in my k8: between 3-4, although I was balling around yesterday and was shifting at like 6 + yeah I'll probably blow the motor (it has like 170k on it) :roll:

what rpm's do you shift at :roll:

i was mostly interested in what people shift at daily driving, if i were to post it in the drag/track subform it would have been moved to here. so here we are in the correct subform with the question that fits.

I found 2500 is best for fuel economy and my sohc engine doesn't scream.

I never, ever, ever shift below 3500 RPM. Usually 5000 when I'm driving like a granny. I shift at 7500 when I'm in a rush.

grannys dont shift at 5000 lol. although my grandma drove a civic si and she was a good driver.

usually shift at 3000 rpm....around 4000-5000 when iam in a hurry....max 6000 when i really wanna go :roll:
