CEL only on highways?
Well, city driving brings nothing, and a few miles on the highway bring a CEL. If i turn the car off on the highway, then restart the CEL comes on after about 30 seconds. If i exit the higway onto surface streets and restart the CEL stays off. To pull a code doesn't the light have to stay on constan...

Re: putting a BPT into a V6 model car?
why are you all hell bent on searching? the f-body board i post at gets asked the same questions all the time, "which exhaust is the best" "which intake lid is the best" "what 1/4 times does a stock lt1 run", and you know what we do there... answer them. it's no big dea...

got my car back finally
woohoo! the sleazy dealer paid for a new starter! but the front was still making that horrible noise, so i took it to a mechanic that i trusted (not his sleazy mech.) and they said that nothing was wrong with the front axle, i looked at it while it was on the lift and the boots were not torn or crac...

Re: little tuning here and there?
you know that a 2.5l rotary doesn't exist (to my knowledge). if it did it would be knocking on the door of being a 4 rotor motor.<P>wait, yeah! a 4 rotor quad turbo. you should go for it dude! I once knew a guy with a 20b twin turbo. but at the time i met him he only had just gotten it all thrown to...

Re: little tuning here and there?
ummm. no. FDs are not 2.5l. They are 1.3l. and why would you sell a 13B TT (thats the right code... right?) to swap a klze?

Re: now im pissed
you must remeber though, i am not very mechanically inclined. sure, i put my own intake on once, and changed my oil... but i don't even own a jack. maybe the mx-3 came with one, i don't know. i didn't check. and most of my tools consist of stereo install devices (one thing i am acutally good at). I ...

Re: now im pissed
yet another update. I called and complained (alot) and he is going to tow it to his mechanic and fix it. I don't know what they are going to do about the axle, but atleast they'll get it running for me.<P>what do you all think it would cost for a new front axle assembly w/ labor?<P>o yeah... it DOES...

ok, the dealer is going to hear form me tomorrow. I went leave for my girlfriends house, and the car won't start. I first try and the start goes "veeeerr!" so I stopped, and turn the key to "off" and tried again. Nothing, won't even turn over. it clicks, and the warning lights di...

got the car... got some problems
The CEL light comes on after about 5 minutes of driving. if i turn the car off, then restart right away it stays off for another 5 minutes. on the way home when i made right hand corners it was making a clinking sound (like when you run over manholes or other metal objects on the road), until it mad...

I think I'll offer him $3k out the door. I figure tax and license will be $300, so thats like paying $2.7k.<P>not that to many of yo...

Re: cutout?
one more note...<P>even if it sounds ugly and from the lack of backpressure my torque is cut in half, i can just cap it off and cut my $30 loss.

Re: cutout?
There was no lever for mine on the camaro. I had a little flange that was held over the opening by welded in bolts and 3 wing nuts. this website shows exactly what i fabbed up for my car. <A HREF="http://www.installuniversity.com/" TARGET=_blank>http://www.installuniversity.com/</A> click ...
