Re: Updated pics of my Mx's new look
Well, lot of work, respect, but... Well, I think the hatch does not realy fit in the "line"/shape of the car, looks like cutted... Ever thought about a conversion like MR2 or Ferrari ? I mean the sides, just to give the car a better shape ? Hard for me to explain, look at the pictures: <im...

Re: swapped kl03....oil light......
Changing the ECU does not turn off the oil-light,
the signal from the pressure switch goes straight
to the instrument cluster, not to the ECU...

Re: swapped kl03....oil light......
Hi,
yes, the oil pressure switch from the 2.5 is
diffrent to the one from the K8.
Changing them should fix your problem
(i changed the instrument cluster, installed a
PGT one, looks better
)
The two white plugs belong to the A/C- Compressor.

Hi,
the outlined bracket in this pic is the one
for the generator, the bracket from the a/c
compressor is already removed.

I have done it, too. Tooks a day of work. Dash frame from the PRE, tooks a bit time to mold the new one on it. You need all but not the handbreak-cover, theyre the same. Also you need to change the connectors from the dimmer, mirror-switch, Hazard-switch, normaly the fog-switches and rear-windshild-...

Re: 08 Engine code
No, you got 2 Error-Codes:
08 AND 10, 08 is Air flow sensor
10 is Intake Air teperature sensor.
Sounds like the connector is not hooked up
or your air intake sensor is completly
damaged.

Re: overflow tank not holding coolant
Hi,
its possible that you exchanged the two filler caps.
One is with an overpressure-ventile, that belongs
to the radiator, the other one on the left side
of the engine.Check that, could possible be.

Re: need help, running out of ideas
With OBDI its easy: open the diagnostic box, make a shortcut with a wire between "TEN" and "GND", then take a 12V Lamp, connect one side of the Lamp on "FEN" and the other side to "B+" (or directly on battery's plus), then turn (or better LET turn by another pe...

Re: need help, running out of ideas
Hi, check the Distributor. In there are two metal caps, one with 6 fingers, one with half circle. They give the SGC and the SGT signal, so the ECU knows when to fire. These two are only sticked together, it could happen that one stucks, happens at higher rpm, so a misfire happens. Normaly a Code is ...

Re: Where is Knock sensor located?
Hi,
Knock sensor is located under the Intake Manifold
in the middle of the engine block, the cable connector
is near the temperature sensor, besids the filler cap.
