Does 94-95 dash fit on 92-93???

I personally do not like the 92-93 dash of the MX3. I would like to swap the 92-93 dash/console with the 94-95. Are they interchangable and has anyone done it before???? Thanks.

It is theoretically interchangeable-- but it is WAAAAAY more work than you want to put in. I think the dash frame and everything between the seats and the firewall are completely different. You would need a complete donar car to do it-- and ther are so many screws & clips that you will never remener where they go.

I am not sure if anyone has one it before.

Have you sat in a 94-95 before? I like the 92-93 because it lets you see better and is more simple.

So.... I guess no one has done it. Since they share the same interior demensions and cluster is the same, I thought that it would be an easy swap over. If no one has done it, it is either too hard or that everyone likes the 92-93 dash the way it is. If anyone has done it, just let me know. Thanks for the input so far.

actualy i think stacey did it in her old mx-3... but she sold it ...

I have done it, too.
Tooks a day of work.
Dash frame from the PRE, tooks a bit time to mold
the new one on it.
You need all but not the handbreak-cover, theyre
the same. Also you need to change the connectors
from the dimmer, mirror-switch, Hazard-switch,
normaly the fog-switches and rear-windshild-/
AC-switches also, but the old ones fit in.
I haven`t changed the HVAC-control.

Takes a bit time, but it can be made.

so your saying you were able to do it without having to swap the dash frame over? That's all that's been stoping me from doing it, because with a new dash frame, it means having to change your steering rack as well.....

Hope you did not misunderstand me, i kept the old
frame, no change of the steering rack.
