I just recently ran a diagnostics because my
motor was idling funny when I was at a stop
with the clutch in and in first gear. The RPM
goes up and down from 900-1500 every second.
The diagnostics computer said I needed a new
knock sensor. I have a 93 1.8 L MX-3. Please tell me if it is the knock sensor and if it is, where is it located.
Where is Knock sensor located?

Re: Where is Knock sensor located?
Hi,
Knock sensor is located under the Intake Manifold
in the middle of the engine block, the cable connector
is near the temperature sensor, besids the filler cap.

I don't think your problem has to do with the knock sensor. Sounds more like the throttle body.
Look for the TPS adjustment procedure.
Make sure your IAC is plugged in and that the coolant lines are hooked up properly.
