HVAC install 94+ dash

Post by BoOdOg »

Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone has install the HVAC in a car with the newier style dash. Just curious to see a pic. Also a noticed alittle bump you might call it that might get in the way. Just wanted to see if it did. At the current time I have no access to my car so I can't check this out for myself. Any information or a pic be great. Thanks .... also I know I am probably thinking their is a problem when their isn't but just trying figure out how all my winter projects will go. Thanks again

it would be impossible seeing how the newer dash has a completely different style HVAC control setup...they use buttons instead of sliders.

I don't have my car home at moment so I am until to see if it fits, I am just curious as I am wondering if the HVAC controls are smaller in new dash style or if it does fit fine

wow, i've never seen a newer style dash with the sliders. Your sliders look a bit different from mine, but it looks like the HVAC's would fit your car regardless, cept for that strange box at the end that you circled.

Here is a pic of the style i was thinkin of....the only one i have online at my site:

I think this style uses solenoids that flip the vents on/off when you push in the buttons.

I thought I would post this just so people know, it doesn't fit. It's too large to fit in the newier style dash. I tried fitting it on the wkend was a no go

I have the exact same set-up, thus it probably only holds true for canadian models.

this is true it was started by myself when my mx3 was in storage and I was waiting on my HVAC. However now that I got my car out of storage and was able to see if the HVAC fit. I posted to let other people know it wouldn't and save them the time or possible get one made for our style dash (I suggest you get permission from person who created design before you do this if your going too)

Sorry for bring up an old post.

And I swapped the new style dashboard in my

Any other combinations ? ;)
