Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Car Stolen then found...

Not much to report with yet... Still no thieves caught... :( I'm waiting on several parts at the moment. My interior is a little disheveled due to me taking out all of the MDF. I built a box for my two 8" JL Audios... All I can say is, Holy Crap! I have been running just one and then nothing bu...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Car Stolen then found...

That's the thing, they didn't take anything from the car. The dash components are in the trunk. I just haven't got around to placing them back in order. Been working like crazy. I found a replacement rim on eBay so hopefully in the next few weeks I can order it. It's a stock item. Other than that, a...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Car Stolen then found...

Thanks guys for the support. MX3s arent really popular down here. I think this is a personal attack. Not really sure but my gut just tells me it's not over. Luckily my neighborhood has high def cameras at both entrances. I'm waiting for the Home Owners Association Security to give me the footage. My...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Idle Fixed! Another Dead The

http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/xx37/vecia666/IMAG0273.jpg Sorry I haven't posted in a bit. My car was stolen last Friday morning and was recovered Saturday. Apparently my car has become a target for some reason. I don't know why but there has been a total of 5 attempts, two of which I almost ca...

Re: Ideas for New Exhaust ~ 1.6 DOHC B6DE

Yeah, Ive been reading a lot on the megasquirt diy stuff just to try and get a working understanding how the FIC controllers and stand-alone systems work. Im a good electrician with a great understanding of most electronics when dealing with simple relays and resistance based sensors so I figure if ...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Idle Fixed! Another Dead The

Those particular Hose Clamps come with the WeaponR Intake. They are made in such a way as to allow an intake support bracket to be screwed into the portion of the screw that protrudes from the under side of the clamp. Also, the design; what would appear to be two wires encircling the intake pipe ser...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Idle Fixed! Another Dead The

Thank you for your clean engine bay. Hahaha! Not as clean as it was as it just rained for like 4 days. I'm going to detail it this weekend. So sick of not having a back seat and good interior trim. Hard to detail when it's like a warehouse on the inside. I promise though, good engine bay pics this ...

Re: Ideas for New Exhaust ~ 1.6 DOHC B6DE

Very cool. I think I'm going to go with the 2" diameter for right now as I will be running N/A. The next exhaust set up will hopefully be for an engine swap but we'll see. I think you should do what ever you want. If you want duel tips DO IT, if you only want a single exit then go with that. It...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Still Having Idle Issues...

Awesome! Good to see you got the idle stuff down! That's always a relief, since it'll bother you every second you're in the car if it is even slightly off. Idle, bleh. Good to hear about the job too! Sounds like you're in a good place now! What newer model are you looking into by any chance??...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Idle Fixed! Another Dead The

FINALLY!!!! The idle issue is eliminated! The cause was in fact the weathered and cracked booster vacuum hose from the booster to the plenum. As I said before, I had cut open the old hose and pulled out the bullet check valve. The valve is fine but I'll be D@#N if I'm going to buy the hose with the ...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Still Having Idle Issues...

Okay, so cut the brake booster hose open and pulled out that little bullet check valve and the thing works. Turned out to be the hose. Found several weather cracks hidden under the rubber heat shield. I don't really have enough time the rest of this week to get it taken care of as I start my awesome...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Still Having Idle Issues...

Yup, that was it! Adjusted it just a hair and that fixed my idle problem. However, I'm still getting a slight surge in my idle when I apply the brake when coming up to a light. Pretty sure it's the one way check valve in the hose from my booster to the intake plenum. I removed the hose and put on a ...

Re: Vecia's 1994 MX-3: UPDATE - Still Having Idle Issues...

Hey, thanks guys for the suggestions and comments! Okay, took most advice and ran with it. The PCV Valve grommet is one thing I haven't checked yet as I keep forgetting everytime I start troubleshooting. I will check that today for sure. Here is an update so far; Spent most of the day cleaning the T...
