Re: Ryan's Final Build

If the heads are off the motor you can just tap it out of the cylinder and it comes out. That way the whole piston comes out.

You do have to spin the crank pulley in order to rotate the ...

I am heading out to my parents place today, and will finish putting the engine together I have a few little things left, put on the intake manifold, add spark plugs, put on the time belt cover, and put the pulleys back on. Re: Junk Yard Success

I'm going to say one thing about automatic... Chrysler. 4 trannies all blewdoing 110 km/h down the highway and the car dropped to "safety mode" AKA 110 km/h in 2nd gear. .. Never again
They are notorious for bad transmissions, and electrolysis.

Re: ResQRandy's 1.6L Project Ricer. BP installed.

One ghetto way to fix it is have someone lift up the shifter, once it comes though you can drill a small hole one each side and put a small nut and bolt on it to hold it up, works pretty well. I drove on it for close to a 8 months before I got my short shifter. I think everyone is in shock and laugh...

Re: new twist....jeez

Carb cleaner is a safe spray to put in your vaccum system, also works great for cleaning the throttle body. This may sound weird but does it idle with your air conditioning on my compressor went out on my 93 a few years ago. At the pick and pull I could only find MX-6 with the V6 so I used its compr...

Re: new twist....jeez

The seal for the spark plugs is part of the valve cover gasket, so you do have to remove it, if oil is on the plugs that would prevent it from firing correctly. Hmmm...never heard of it. Where do you hook it up? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SNAP-MT2500-SCANNER-MAZDA-1-ADAPTER-MT2500-53-_W0QQcmdZVi...
