i need to replace my valve cover gaskets and i was wondering if there are some gaskets/gasket sets that are better than others.. and where i could get them?
or are OEM gaskets just as good as anything else i'm going to be able to hunt down for a K8?

hahahahah agreed... well i plan on doing all the work to my car sometime in early september to october (the valve cover gasket replacement, the timing belt/water pump and clutch replacement)- so anytime in september would be fine and the labour day long weekend is actually not too bad for me and Kev...

okay so i have the same old problem - oil filling in the spark plug wells #5, and i little in #1 (the back right and left cylinders) so i am going to need to replace the valve cover gasket(s) and i might as well replace the front one while i'm at it - not to mention switching to a thicker synth oil ...

check the rear window washer bottle... mine rattled terribly until i wrapped it with a towel and placed it back snug in the space where it sits..

if you're going through that much oil, check to be sure that your plugs aren't fouled with oil.. that will certainly cause the engine to misfire
