Noise in rear end of my MX-3 V6 ...

Post by mymx.3 »

I have had this banging noise coming from the back of my car. First I thought it was the piece of wood that covers the spare tire. Nope it wasn't .. I took everything out except the tire. I could not move it so I figured it wasn't the problem. It seems to bang in the back on passenger side. I thought of shocks? :D DEB

Bring it back to the same shop that did you wheel bearings and have them do a quick test drive and tests. That will be the quickes way to find out what it is.

Is this a sound that you can hear all the time?

I have a weird rattle comming from the same area on my car too, but only when the bass hits really hard :D At first I thought it was the spare tire, which it wasn't, then I suspected the GS spoiler which it was. But then when the basss hit really hard I started getting a rattle from underneath the passengers side! No, it's not the exaust I've got underneath and looked, it's not. I'm almost ready to give up trying to figure this mysterious rattle out! haha

Good luck with yours.
