Re: Rear wipers? How do you like them?
Well, I live in Miami, and so far I had 2 mx3's, both without the rear wiper, and, let me tell you, every time it rains (and here it rains A LOT), I wish I had it. Other than that, I don't see it looking better or worse with or without it, but to be able to use the rearview mirror when it rains must...

Re: Funny Viberations.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes. :) 2 tips (no brainers, but those are normally the ones that get you in trouble): 1. once you pull the new alty, go to the nearest auto parts store and have it checked. It wouldn't be the first time you go through all the work of installing it to find out it's...

Re: Oil filter thread size
When I pulled apart an Mazda filter, it had a bypass on the end. I believe all filters will have this, causing all filters to allow the same max flow, unless you could change the diameter. (greater sectional area is greater flow) wheras length really only changes capacity and filter life... althoug...

Re: Oil Filter Upgrade
interesting thread that actually answered my ? about the BP filters. so.. sweet lol. but yeah I don't see a need either.. I've seen higher flowing oil pumps but.. is there any reason for them? Sometimes. For example, when you add a turbo/supercharger to an engine, it's good practice to increase the...

I guess it's a matter of personal preference. I normally use good quality filters and oil, and change them often.

Re: Oil Filter Upgrade
The oil filters for the B6-BP engines are, to the best of my knowledge, all the same: Fram 6607, Purolator 14612, Mobil 1 M1-108... The oil filter for the K8-klze-de engines are Fram 7317, Purolator 14610, Mobil 1 M1-110, K&N HP 1010, which is a few millimeters bigger than the B6-BP filter (I'm ...
